I came to Maria when my year and a half old dog Henry started to act out and bark at bigger dogs and kids in an aggressive manner. Some people had told me he was acting dominant and others said he was fearful. I didn't really know who to listen to. Maria said he was just confused about what his job is. She has given me the tools to be a stronger leader and give Henry a more productive job to do. In a week, I have gone from Henry pulling on the leash and jumping at other dogs to heeling right next to me on a loose leash. Instead of him lunging and growling when other dogs pass he just sits and waits and looks at me. He has made amazing progress in a short time and is a much happier dog. My neighbor even commented on how impressed she was with his improved behavior. Thanks so much Maria. I would definitely recommend your service to any dog owner.

My son is now 1 year old, but when we found out we were having a baby, we knew we needed to get our dogs into training. I had tried a few other training places, but Maria had a very flexible schedule and came to our house to work with us. One of our dogs was a bit challenging, but Maria gave us lots of ways to manage him both inside the house and on walks. She was patient with us, and has a funny since of humor. I didn’t realize there was so much more I could learn about my dogs, and now they are easier to live with, and great with the baby!

Thanks again for offering these classes, without them I think Max might have gone back to his breeder and well, I know it isn't him, but his dingaling mommy and these really help and Maria is GREAT! I like her style, she's not condescending and you don't get the feeling she's talking down to you because she knows more, but explains and puts it in perspective, unlike others I've met. Max is a much better companion with them and I'm looking forward to continuing his training both with Private and Classes for his forward momentum to becoming a happier dog :).

We attended a puppy series elsewhere first, but still had the issues with the herding behaviors and nipping of hands and feet. The shyness continued and didn’t seem to be getting better. It was very frustrating to live with a clicker and treats in order to get our dog to do things. As Zamboni approached a year we were at our wits end with the behaviors and needed real help. Maria’s style of training is practical, and easy to incorporate into your regular day. No need to figure out when in your day you need to set aside time to work on things with your dog. We followed the plan that Maria set up for us, and had great successes using her training style.
